9 Dots Award

CSR Cemintel™ is calling for entries in its inaugural 9 Dots design competition. Think outside the 9 dots and you could be travelling to Europe for a 17 day architectural study tour with award winning Architect, Malcolm Carver.

The competition is open to Australian architects, designers, building designers and students – your best qualification is that you can create a fresh and innovative design for a home, that is sure to get people talking.

The challenge is to prepare a residential design utilising some key Cemintel™ products. You must feature at least two of the Designer Series™ external facade range, PLUS either the Cemintel Residential Expresswall™ or the CeminSeal™ Barestone collection. (Find out more about these revolutionary new products at

The design must meet the needs of today’s customer for an attractive, versatile and aspirational design where texture, colour and lifestyle is all important.

The judging panel consists of professional Australian architects and designers.

First prize: The 9 Dots Award – A place on Malcolm Carver’s 17 day tour of Europe studying Architecture and Urban Design. The primary focus is on Corbusier, Aalto and Gehry but you will see many more examples of outstanding architecture as you visit Helsinki, Jyvaskyla, Berlin, Luzern, Ronchamp, Paris and Bilbao. The trip covers airfares, travel in a first class coach and accommodation in 4 star hotels, as well as sightseeing and general admission fees and tour leadership by well-known architect Malcolm Carver.

Second prize: Mac Book Air
