Hill McGlynn
Senior Project Architect
to lead the mixed use Architectural department -Vietnam
Background to the Appointment
In my opinion, this is one of
the most unique companies I have come across, dealing with an
exciting array of high profile clients.
This client is the largest supplier
of collaborative outsourced services to architects and engineers
in the UK and Australia. The company has over 250 staff in its
operations centre, Vietnam, who undertakes a mix of design
development assistance and construction documentation work for
practices on projects worldwide. The company is growing rapidly.
All work is supervised by experienced qualified architects and
engineers who communicate directly with their opposite numbers
in UK/ Australia on a daily basis via the internet and by telephone.
Through this experience it has
been able to develop a very clear idea of 'best practice' as
it applies to the production of construction drawing information.
In Vietnam, teams centre on senior
architects and engineers with many years of general experience
and a particular expertise in a particular sector. My client
works by leveraging off this depth of knowledge to bring the
enthusiastic but relatively inexperienced Vietnamese staff up
to appropriate skill levels relatively quickly.
Continuing to expand rapidly
in both the UK and Australian markets they are now seeking to
appoint a new Vietnam based Senior Architect to take overall
responsibility for a team of approximately 40, working on one
of their most prestigious clients.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team budget and invoicing
- Liaise with business management
- Assist the HR team with the
selection and recruitment of new architects/technicians.

existing client relationships.

services where appropriate

and team members on technical and management issues with a view
to developing their skills to equivalent UK standards.

management, including UK / Australian offices, to ensure that
they are kept regularly and appropriately informed as to the
progress on projects

/ or Australia will be required for business purposes during
which the SPA will be based in the company's, London office or
Australian office.

a high level of design understanding.
You will report to the Chief Executive Officer and the Vietnam
Operations Director.
