Senior Architect - London (E)
 
Our client is a fairly new property development company, with a turnover of £35 million pounds last year. The company has 6 full time members of staff and is part of a larger organisation that has been established for over 20 years, giving them a wealth of experience in the development of new build projects.
Our client started life working predominantly on residential apartments and bespoke individual houses, they now aim to move away from apartments and focus on larger developments of houses as well as keeping focused on individual bespoke designs.
Currently our client completes around 100 units per year, these are spread over 2-3 large sites which incorporate townhouses, semi's and detached houses. Individual house prices have ranged from £300,000 to £8,000,000.
Our client is currently recruiting for a Senior Architect to join the expanding team based in London.
The successful candidate must be an ARB and RIBA registered Architect with a senior level of experience.
You must be proficient in the use of an up-to-date version of AutoCAD; experience in the use of light steel framing would be a distinct advantage as our client implements this technology in some of their builds.
You will be responsible for working on projects from inception through to completion as the sole architect. It is the companies aim to expand and develop the design team. Their eventual goal is for the architect to produce some standard house types for the company to implement on the larger sites, whilst still being able to produce individual bespoke designs for the smaller projects.
As well as leading the design process you will also be required to meet suppliers as some of the houses come pre-fabricated and some come with pre-built light steel framing. At present the company's foreign suppliers are based in the USA, India and China.
The company plans for expansion in the near future, with a move to new premises being their first objective.
Our client is offering an attractive salary of up to £70,000 dependant on experience, package to be discussed at interview stage as there are a number of different approaches that the company is wiling to consider.

Project Architect - London (W)
Our client is a small, successful property developer based in West London. Their projects include contemporary high-end residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. Projects range in value from approximately £7 million to £26 million.
Currently they are working on a site that incorporates 8 residential apartments and a commercial office space of nearly 15000 sq ft.
Our client is currently recruiting for a Project Architect to join the team based in West London.
Working in conjunction with one other senior designer your role will incorporate everything from the initial concept design through to completion on site, as such the successful candidate should have previous experience working on projects of a similar nature and should have an excellent up to date knowledge of current UK building regulations.
ARB and RIBA membership would be seen as a distinct advantage but is by no means essential for this role.

Our client was established in 1990 and has been growing at an astonishing rate creating them into a medium sized architectural practice. They tailor their services to their clients' individual needs and specialise in the Public, Commercial, Industrial and Private sectors and have designed more than 5000 buildings to date.
They are a very busy architectural practice which deals with a lot of repeat business, clients can range from large companies through to public authorities and individuals looking for one off residential designs. The services they provide include Feasibilities, Project Management, Interior Design, Planning Supervisions and many more. Our client has offices based in Ireland and Manchester and is currently in the progress of buying a practice in central London.
Due to the new office opening in London our client is now looking to recruit for a Director to head up their office in London.
The successful candidate will be RIBA Part III qualified, ARB registered with previous experience in UK private practice.
This is a challenging position which will require you to build up the new office in London. You will have previous experience with generating business and networking, you will also have the ability to build a team and previous experience within a variety of different project types. Experience within the public sector would be an advantage.
You will also have a sound knowledge of current UK building regulations.
You will have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and other members of the team along with previous experience of working with large scale projects.

The successful applicant will be qualified as a Chartered Landscape Architect with full membership of the Landscape Institute and will have a minimum of 3 years post chartership experience in the UK. Our client works predominantly on residential projects but other sectors include education and commercial. Experience in residential would be preferred.
Literacy on AutoCAD is essential.
